A roof garden covering an area of approximately 850 m² was created, involving extensive landscaping and greening work. Of this, 550 m² were designed as a retention roof with an intelligent rainwater management system.
A 240 m² path made of Kilkenny Irish bluestone was laid in drainage mortar with solid joints, connecting the various sections of the roof garden.
For the terraces, around 160 m² of square slabs made from the same material were installed on a rail system in front of and behind the glass pavilion.
Along both terraces, the company Blau constructed a metal frame, onto which approximately 440 pieces of Kilkenny Irish bluestone were adhered as seating blocks and stairs.
This creates a harmonious connection between the terraces and the roof garden.
The greening covers about 360 m², with a substrate depth of approximately 80 cm in areas with small shrubs and grasses and around 100 cm for the 16 large trees (Zelkova). These trees were additionally placed in elevated galvanised steel planters to ensure optimal growth conditions.
The project also includes an automatic irrigation system for continuous plant care.
