KAP1

The green roof at KAP1 was installed as part of the extensive renovation and redesign of the former post office building. The goal was to create urban green spaces while enhancing the building’s aesthetic appeal.

The courtyards were intensively landscaped with vegetation to create a pleasant and functional environment for visitors. These green spaces are an integral part of the building’s overall design and contribute to the complex’s visual appeal and biodiversity: Studies have documented up to 358 individual beetles and 18 species of wild bees in comparable intensively landscaped areas (Mann, Faunistic Studies of Three Green Roofs in Linz). The roof was extensively landscaped and subsequently equipped with a solar panel system.
