Apprenticeship as a Landscape Gardener (m/f/d)

Work & Career at Leonhards

Landscape gardening at Leonhards is so much more than just planting pansies!

Our work ranges from green roofs and vertical gardens to operating heavy machinery on major construction sites, planting large trees, and maintaining green spaces in new residential areas and on company premises.

As a certified “Top Training in Horticulture” (T.A.G.) company, we offer much more than the standard apprenticeship curriculum. Here’s what you can expect from your apprenticeship at Leonhards:

  • €1,060 in the first year, €1,180 in the second, and €1,290 in the third
  • Financial and time support for getting your Class B and BE driver’s licenses
  • Regular in-house practical and theoretical training beyond vocational school topics, including prep courses for mid-term and final exams on our own training grounds
  • Apprentice projects where you take the lead and manage your own construction sites
  • Introductory days at the start of the program with all new trainees
  • The most comprehensive apprenticeship in landscape gardening by getting to know all six of our specialist departments
  • Field trips and hands-on workshops
  • Time off for international internships, with help arranging them
  • Time off for professional development and competitions
  • Access to current trade magazines and professional literature from our extensive library
  • High training quality thanks to ongoing coaching for our apprenticeship mentors

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for motivated and curious people who enjoy working outdoors.
Rain, wind, heat, or snow shouldn’t scare you off.
If you also bring a bit of manual skill, enjoy working with lots of different people, and aren’t afraid of physical work, you’re in the right place with us.
